Devil Crash is an intense pinball game by Naxat Soft and
is the sequel of Alien Crush. The pinball field is split into
three areas and has an
unusual evil and demonic twist to it, with ghosts, skulls, skeletons and
other dragons and slimes. Most of them stay static at first and
will slowly change as they get hit. Some will crack open and
give access to secret bonus stages, and others will just
float around and influence the ball's trajectory. The most
mysterious of all is certainly the dormant woman face at the center
of the field who slowly turns into a demon. The ball can also
power-up and change color during the game. A two players
option is available and a password system (coupled with the
Backup system) allows players to save their progress and
score.

Teaser text from the American version:
Play video pinball that will set you on fire! Explosive graphics
and demonic sound beckon you to the underworld for a devilish
pinball simulation. Rebound off the She Giant. So beautiful
when she sleeps. So evil when she awakens. Burn up in the
bonus rounds where dragons will roast you, skeletons will toast
you and sorceres will plan a barbecue around you. Finally, if
you flip your way past them all, fight the ultimate Armageddon.

There are a few differences between the American and Japanese versions.
First of all, the name of the game was changed from Devil's Crash
to Devil's Crush. Another detail, more subtle, is the
pentagram that can be found at the very top of the playing field. The
American version is different and has eight branches instead of
five (as pictured on the left) -probably to make sure the game did not
display any demonic references.

Devil crash is demonic and highly addictive, and is most
probably the best pinball game available for the
PC Engine system (or maybe the best pinball game ever made ?).
It can also be incredibly
frustrating and luck often needs to be on your side.
The ball has this dirty habit to fall right in between the two
paddles and will get you to swear and curse more than
anything else. But isn't it what pinball games have always been about ?
I really recommend this game. Great graphics, perfect
controls and awesome music. Devil crash is an
amazing title and one of the finest pinball game ever
created.
